Angel was presented to us as a 2 month old, mini foal, who had lost a front leg, due to an injury she sustained after birth. We were presented her case, without ever having built a horse wheelchair! But we always love a challenge! Angel’s rear legs were also very weak because she was unable to support herself shortly after her birth and injury. We went to the drawing board and decided on a specially engineered front end with fixed, 20″ wheels, to allow her to get anywhere around the farm that she desired. And boy, does she get around. She loves to kick and run in her wheels, bringing joy to anyone that sees. We have since done some alterations to her wheels, converting it into a Front Support Wheelchair, because we have been able to rehabilitate her rear end!
